Mike Ferguson is an American, permanently resident in the UK. He is now retired having taught English in Devon for 30 years, though he still writes regularly for and about education: from teaching and creative writing ideas to critiques on the continued impact of the philistines. He is published widely in the small poetry press, especially online magazines, his work ranging from sonnets to experimental writing. His most recent poetry collection is the sonnets chapbook Precarious Real [Maquette Press, 2016]. He is also the co-author of the education text Writing Workshops [Cambridge University Press, 2015].
