Mandy's travel writing and fiction have appeared in numerous anthologies, journals and textbooks, as well as in newspapers and magazines such as the Guardian, Daily Telegraph, Mslexia, Wanderlust, Traveller, Writers' Forum and Reader's Digest. She has achieved success and shortlistings in competitions including Cinnamon Press, Retreat West, Fish, Ink Tears, English Pen, Writers' Forum, The Telegraph, Bradt Travel Guides, and Words with Jam. In 2014 Mandy won the British Guild of Travel Writers New Writer Award, and she was Highly Commended in the Bare Fiction Prize for Flash Fiction 2015. A selection of her short stories are showcased in the Ink Tears anthology, Death of a Superhero, and her first flash fiction collection, Brightly Coloured Horses, will be published by Chapeltown Books in 2018.
