We need your votes to win the coveted title of Best Magazine.
Bare Fiction Magazine has been Shortlisted for Best Magazine in the 2014 Saboteur Awards. There are a number of different categories in the awards and you have until May 25th to cast your votes.
To celebrate Sabotage Reviews‘ fourth birthday, the Saboteur Awards 2014 will include a mini book fair accompanied by select readings at the Awards’ venue – Jericho Tavern Oxford OX2 6AE. The book fair will take place from 1:30 – 6:00 pm on Saturday May 31st, with the awards event following on through the evening.
Bare Fiction editor, Robert Harper, will of course be there all day with copies of the magazine on sale. It would be lovely to see some of you there, particularly at the fiction reading hour where Lindsay Waller-Wilkinson and Thomas McColl will be reading from their work in issues 1 and 2 of the magazine.
It’s quite a privilege to be named alongside so many great writers, publications and presses in these awards, including the wonderful May-Lan Tan who is shortlisted for Best Short Story Collection for her debut Things to Make and Break. You can read Lucy Jeynes’ review of May-Lan’s book in issue 2 of Bare Fiction Magazine.
We’d like to thank everyone who has supported the magazine since our launch in December 2013 and wish all those shortlisted the best of luck in this year’s Saboteur Awards. We’ll see you all in Oxford on May 31st.
